The International Festival is an annual celebration of Central Indiana’s rich ethnic and cultural diversity hosted by the Nationalities Council of Indiana. This year marks the 31st anniversary of the festival, which will take place at the West Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Nov. 16-18.

The festival features foods, educational experiences and artistic performances from every continent. Volunteers in traditional dress in dozens of booths share stories of their ethnic heritage as well as authentic foods and displays of cultural items. On stage, see performers showcase the beautiful choreography and vibrant costumes of the world.

New attractions this year include “Earth Adventure,” a giant Earth Balloon that is a 20-foot diameter model of the Earth; the Global Gifts Fair Trade Zone, where visitors will find hand-made items from over 25 countries; performances by Flamenco Triana; and the premiere of Duquesne University Tamburitzans at the festival, a folk ensemble presenting the rich heritage of Slavic music.
