White River State Park will host Taste of Indiana on Aug. 27-28. The outdoor festival will feature food from restaurants around the state, live music and hands-on fun from park attractions including the Eiteljorg Museum, IMAX(r) Theater, Indiana State Museum, Indianapolis Zoo, NCAA Hall of Champions, Victory Field and White River Gardens. More than 20 restaurants will participate, including Almost Home, Big G’s BBQ, Boulder Creek Dining Co., Charbono’s, Chris’ Ice Cream, Conchas, Cookies By Design, Dairy Castle, Great Divide, Greiners Sub Shop, Hard Rock Café, Hoghead BBQ, Keystone Grill, L.S. Ayres Tea Room, Mama Bear’s, Pizza Express, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, St. Elmo Steak House, TGI Fridays and Uncle Arties.

Indulge in wine at a local wine-tasting event on Wednesday, Aug. 11. Indy Vinos, an Indianapolis wine-tasting group, hosts a wine-tasting event from 7-9 p.m. on August 11 at D’vine, 2727 E. 86th St., Suite 232, Indianapolis. Cost is $15 at the door and includes wine-tasting and appetizers. Indy Vinos’ events are held every second Wednesday of the month at various restaurants in Indianapolis.
