Mancini’s music
Pike Performing Arts Center will host “Mancini at the Movies” March 9 at 7:30 p.m. The program is a multimedia tribute to Academy Award-winning composer Henry Mancini, featuring Henry’s daughter, Monica Mancini. Monica will perform many of her father’s greatest hits, plus there will be clips of some of Henry’s greatest movies and a rare behind-the-scenes video.

Songs that Monica will sing include “Moon River,” “The Days of Wine and Roses” and “Charade,” as well as some of her other favorite classic movie themes. Accompanying her will be the Henry Mancini Institute Alumni Orchestra, which will round out the program with classic Mancini themes such as “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “Baby Elephant Walk,” “The Pink Panther” and “Peter Gunn.”
Tickets are $16 and $18 (seniors $14 and $16, students $13 and $15). Pike is located at 6701 Zionsville Road. Call 216-5455.
