Protest at NUVO offices

[this article is satire]

There were a few tense moments last week when an angry mob descended upon the NUVO offices on North Meridian and demanded an explanation for the omission of J. Williams’ wildly popular “Downtown Diary” from last week’s issue of NUVO.

“We want answers now!” screamed Duncan McGallahan, 23, of Indianapolis. He then fainted from all the excitement.

Patty Smithers, 37, also of Indianapolis, was injured after a sign reading “Fight The Power!” that she was holding fell on her, injuring her earlobe.

The remaining six protesters then debated tactics, goals and so on among themselves, got depressed, then went and bought a Band-Aid for Ms. Smithers’ ear, and finally ended up at a downtown pub, where they annoyed other patrons with their loud tales of heroism at the barricades.
