In a more-ridiculous-than-fiction bid to attract the world to Indy and remind everyone of the Super Bowl (come now, who could forget it?), "The Indianapolis Shufflin' Crew" (also known as "local hotel employees") performs "The Super Bowl Shuffle" in a new video, below. This aping of the original Chicago Bears version - an '80's cultural icon that, for better or worse, wasn't too absurd in its day - mainly serves to remind us of how good, relatively speaking, the original was.
The video is "a grassroots marketing tactic," according to Chris Gahl, vice president of communications and marketing for the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association. If the marketing goal is to attract people to Indianapolis to see what a bunch of dorks we are, mission accomplished!

Two things. One, I regret missing the casting call for this. Two, is that a lint roller at 1:31?

Make it go away!! ohhh this is TERRIBLE!! so weird that it's actually quite uncomfortable to watch. aside from the fact that ALL of these corporations are guilty of horrendous workers rights violations (don't even get me started, visit UNITE HERE! to get involved in helping your local hospitality workers) but it's also seriously lacking in diversity! wth?! The Hilton gets maybe a halfway hi-5 for their attempt in this area....but seriously...this is just embarrassing and so wrong...

Hoooooly Crap! I didnt think i could hate this city much more after all the bs that has gone on leading up to the superbowl, but my lord, this is more fuel for the fire. Thanks "big blue" for ruining our cities once proud skyline with your eyesore of a building, and blocking so many views from other locations. I cant wait until this stupid football GAME is over and all the politicians in town remember that they dont give two shites about this city and go back to letting it go as fast as possible down the sewer, just to be blown back out a manhole and covered up by the city. VOTE FOR RUPERT!!!!!
Gag me with a stick...I'm going to be ill. Whoever got paid big bucks for producing this should be shot!!!!
