Korean War vet and retired U.S. Rep. Andy Jacobs, D-Ind., who served in Congress from 1965-1997, continues to challenge Hoosiers with his weekly mental joyride, a thought bite. Here's this week's installment:

Medicare marauder Paul Ryan says his plan to destroy Medicare will save it. An American commander, whose battalion wiped out the Vietnamese town of Ben Tre, famously said, "We had to destroy it to save it."
