Our out-going treasurer Richard Mourdock (thanks, term limits!) decided to liken our current situation to Nazi Germany
, then tried to claim he wasn't speaking about the Dems and the President. This caused many right-thinking Hoosiers to offer certain opinions on social media such as "This dude's an ass."
Of course, the same GOP conventioneers that gave Mourdock a STANDING OVATION put this nugget on their platform: hetero marriage is the "foundation of society."
Please enjoy your ever-quickening ride into obscurity.
A note: Mr. Mourdock made his statements the week after D-Day, and the GOP's homophobic platform comes in the midst of Pride. Speaking of Pride, here's our cover story, ICYMI.
And good luck with the whole one-man, one-woman definition, anyway: "Sex and gender might be thought of as a continuum with a substantial gray area in the middle."
And finally, The Fault in Our Stars raked in four times its budget at the box office in its opening weekend
. Way to go, John Green. Here's Ed Johnson-Ott's review.
