Phillip Seymour Hoffman was found dead of an apparent drug overdose on Sunday morning. An utterly brilliant actor, Hoffman won the Best Actor Oscar for his title turn in Capote. He was nominated that year along with Heath Ledger, another great we lost to substance abuse.


We have a winter storm coming. Social media glommed on to this weather-watchin' site's early predictions of lotsa snow, the local TV weather-folk tried to allay everyone's fears, and the bottom line is ... we're gonna get snow and ice in Indiana in February. Stunner!

Oh, yeah, there was this game last night with this dude named Peyton, and he didn't look so good.
