Indianapolis: One of America's best downtowns

Downtown Indianapolis at night.
  • Downtown Indianapolis at night.

The folks at Forbes have come to an obvious (in our humble Midwestern opinion) conclusion: Indianapolis has one of "America's Best Downtowns."

Forbes consulted with Frommer's and Livability to analyze factors such as attractiveness, shops, restaurants and arts and entertainment options like the Indianapolis Museum of Art, which, in spite of its CEO's recent departure, is sure to continue offering a wealth of cool things to do for visitors and residents alike. And nearby locations like Fountain Square add vibrant color to the spokes radiating from Monument Circle.
