Current Events Indiana unemployment up for the month

I'm reminded of my youth spent growing up in government-subsidized housing: Although it appears we're doing better than some of our neighbors, we aren't exactly doing well.
From the Web site at WISH-TV:
Despite adding 13,000 jobs in July, Indiana’s unemployment rate crept upward to 10.2 percent.While unemployment is higher in Indiana while compared to the nation’s 9.5% unemployment rate, the Hoosier state’s rate was lower than neighboring Illinois (10.3%), Ohio (10.3%) and Michigan (13.2 %).
The good news, if there is any, is that certain key sectors saw job increases over last month. Among them: manufacturing and construction.
If people are making and building things again, I can't help but feel like that's a good sign, particularly as it concerns construction. It means homeowners and businesses are investing in their futures again.
