Music: PPP on JNR

Posted by Scott Shoger on Thu, Feb 4, 2010 at 4:00 AM

Joyful Noise Recordings announced Wednesday the signing of Bloomington-born, now Chicago-based art-punk foursome Prizzy Prizzy Please. The label released their split with Push-Pull the PPPPPEP back in the early months of 2009. And now they'll put out a full-length, Chroma Cannon, this April this April 20 actually on LP, CD, digital, and limited edition cassette. I think cassette is probably the best format for listening to the band's tinny, thin, circus-y, adorably low-fi sound. Well, adorable for a band with a catchy-ass song about anal sex ("Shorgasm").

The first two tracks from the upcoming record are available via Joyful Noise.

Track 1: "Large Hadron Collider" - http://joyfulnoiserecordings.com/mp3/jnr47-1.mp3

Track 2: "Lost" - http://joyfulnoiserecordings.com/mp3/jnr47-2.mp3
