Thumbs down: Bad bet

Two horse-track casinos, Indiana Live Casino in Shelbyville and Hoosier Park in Anderson, say they're losing money and need a tax break to stay in business. The problem with this request is that the only reason these "racinos" are in business is to provide the state with tax revenue. It was the promise of this revenue that prompted state legislators to permit expanded gambling. Let's see if they remember that as they consider the racino owners' request.
