Thumbs up: Green rides

EnerDel, an Indianapolis high-tech maker of automotive-grade lithium-ion batteries, has signed a letter of intent for a potential long-term battery agreement to provide the batteries for the Fisker Karma, a plug-in hybrid sedan scheduled to go to market in June 2010 with 15,000 units in the U.S. and Europe. EnerDel began production of automotive-grade lithium-ion batteries earlier this week. EnerDel is a subsidiary of New York-based Ener1.
